Meet the team
We were established in February 2019 as part of the UK Government’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund.
Funding from the Department of Health and Social Care and UKRI, enables us to train sophisticated artificial intelligence algorithms from NHS medical images and patient data to provide tools for clinicians to speed up and improve diagnosis and care across several patient pathways including stroke, dementia, heart failure and cancer.
The AI Centre is led by King’s College London and Guy's and Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, alongside 10 NHS Trusts, four Universities, a number of multi-national industry partners including Siemens Healthineers, NVIDIA, IBM, GSK, 10 UK-based SME’s and the Health Innovation Network.
Our team is a cross-institutional consortium of leading AI, data science, research, and clinical experts.
