Our AI Framework supports the safe, effective and consistent use of AI across the region, with the aim of helping NHS organisations adopt AI with confidence and in line with best practice. It includes a new AI assessment tool to help evaluate and select solutions that are suitable for deployment, as well as practical templates and blueprints to support the full AI project lifecycle — from implementation and monitoring through to benefits realisation and business-as-usual use.
This tool helps NHS organisations assess whether an AI solution is a good fit by comparing its complexity with organisational readiness across 12 key areas. It identifies and prioritises gaps, providing one of four recommendations: quick win, deploy and monitor, build readiness first, or avoid.
